Garlic Mushrooms

Someone I worked with a few years ago taught me a trick with these which I’ve included in the recipe below; LIFE CHANGING!

What you'll need..

  • onions
  • mushrooms
  • gravy granules
  • cream (optional)
  • garlic


To give this dish some depth, start off by slowly boiling your onions and garlic in a pan with some water and a dash of pepper.

Once the onions are nice and soft, add in your mushrooms and allow to slowly simmer for around 20 to 30 minutes.

Ideally this should be left overnight but if you simply cannot wait, then today it is!

Once you have your mushroom, onion and garlic mix nice and soft, add in some double cream and allow to simmer for 10 mins, you then need to add in some gravy granules to help with the colour of the dish; leave this to simmer again for another 10 minutes or so, serve and sprinkle with some dried herbs for presentation.
