John Street Bakery Salt and Pepper Bloomer

Quite possibly one of our most popular breads!  A soft bloomer with the tastiest salt and black pepper topping, ideal for soups, or tearing and (not) sharing!

John Street Bakery is owned by husband and wife team Nina and Paul Rodwell.

For the past 43 years they have been creating a unique product which has sustained decades of business.

Paul runs the Bakery, while Nina takes care of retail outlet “The Pantry” in Ashton Indoor Market Hall which was owned by her late father for the past four decades.

Their speciality – ‘The Backstone Oven Bottom’ is no ordinary muffin with it’s distinctive taste, chewy outer and a dense but soft inner.
